Data Sharing and Reproducibility Policy
The Revista de Ciencias Tecnológicas (RECIT) adheres to the data exchange policy. RECIT strongly recommends that the data generated by your research supporting your article be made available as soon as possible, whenever possible.
We recommend that you make available as much of the data underlying your article as possible (without compromising the privacy of participants), but at least the minimum data necessary to reproduce the results presented in the associated article.
Although data sharing is not mandatory in our journal, we reserve the right to request privileged access to any primary data necessary to reproduce the article so that reported results can be verified.
RECIT encourages authors to cite any publicly available research data in their reference list. References to data sets must include a persistent identifier. We encourage research data to be made available under open licenses that allow for free reuse.
In image manipulation, it is only allowed to technically enhance images to improve readability. Proper technical manipulation refers to contrast and/or brightness adjustment or color balance if applied to the entire digital image. Any technical manipulation by the author must be notified in the cover letter to the Journal Editor at the time of submission. Improper technical manipulation refers to darkening, enhancing, removing, and/or introducing new elements into an image. Generally, if an author's figures are questionable, it is suggested to request the original data from the authors.
1. Fabrication of data: This section refers to the structure of the research results.
2. Falsification of data: This space refers to the manipulation of research data with the intention of giving a false impression. This includes manipulating images, removing special values or "untimely" results, and changing, adding, or omitting data points, among others.
