Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another press for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in the Microsoft Word, RTF, or OpenDocument file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Press.
Copyright Notice
The authors who publish in Event Proceedings ECITEC accept the following conditions:
- The authors retain the copyright and assign to the Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology the right of the first publication, with the work registered with the Creative Commons Attribution license, which allows third parties to use what is published as long as they mention the authorship of the work and the first publication in Event Proceedings ECITEC.
- Authors may make other independent and additional contractual agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the version of the work published in Event Proceedings ECITEC (eg, include it in an institutional repository or publish it in a book) as long as they clearly indicate that the work it was first published in this journal.
- Authors are allowed and encouraged to share their work online (for example: in institutional repositories or personal web pages) before and during the manuscript submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, greater and more quick citation of published work (see The Effect of Open Access).

Privacy Statement
The data collected from registered and unregistered users of this site are within the scope of the standard operation of refereed academic proceedings. That includes the information needed to communicate in the editorial process. The information is used to inform readers about the authorship and editing of the content. Likewise, it allows collecting aggregate data on reading behaviors as well as monitoring geopolitical and social elements of academic communication.
The editorial team of this website uses this data as a guide for the publication and improvement of Event Proceedings ECITEC. The data that will help improve the publishing platform can be shared with your developer Public Knowledge Project in an anonymous and aggregated way, with its own exceptions such as the article metric. The site will not sell the data nor will PKP use it for other purposes than those established in this section. The authors who have authorship of works in this site are responsible for the data on subjects that appear in the research reported here.
The persons responsible for the edition of Event Proceedings ECITEC are in compliance with the standards on data privacy, including the clause of "rights over data subjects" of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (RGPD) which includes ( a) notifications about data breaches; (b) right of access; (c) right to be erased; (d) data portability; and (e) privacy by design. The GDPR also allows for the recognition of the "public interest in data availability" which is important to those who maintain, with the highest possible integrity, public records of academic publications.
